Every program serves the same neighbors — Wilmington-area households in hardship, with priority for widows and orphans — and every one is free. No fees, no loans, no liens. Ever.
Home Repair & Restoration
Roofs, heat, plumbing, safety — we fund the work, manage the project, and send licensed, vetted contractors we'd trust in our own family's home.
Rent & Housing Help
Facing eviction, a shut-off notice, or a deposit you can't cover? We pay the landlord or utility directly so a hard month doesn't become homelessness.
Youth Programs
Starting with the free PACER soccer camp — open to Wilmington kids, with priority for children who have lost a parent. Equipment, coaching, and summer joy on us.
Essential Needs
Food, school supplies, a working refrigerator, a real bed — the basics that make a house livable and a school year possible.
Practical help for a real need
A leaking roof, a failing furnace, a porch that's no longer safe — for a widow on a fixed income or a family in crisis, a home repair can be the difference between staying and losing everything. We exist to close that gap with hands-on, fully funded help.
We Fund
Help is paid for by the Foundation — directly to the contractor, landlord, or vendor. There is never a cost, loan, or lien for the families we serve.
We Manage
We scope the work, get the estimates, pull the permits, and see the project through so homeowners never have to navigate it alone.
We Send the Right People
Every contractor is licensed, insured, and vetted by our team. Quality work from people we'd send to our own family's home.
We Work Through Churches
Local congregations know their neighbors. Our church partners help us find the people who need help most — often those who'd never ask.
Wilmington neighbors in need
Our current focus is the City of Wilmington, Delaware. We give priority to:
- Widows and widowers maintaining a home alone, often on a fixed income
- Orphaned children and their caregivers keeping a family home together
- Residents in financial hardship facing housing costs or repairs that threaten health, safety, or their ability to stay in their home
- Elderly and disabled homeowners whose homes need work they cannot do or afford
Widows appear in 102 passages. The fatherless in 42 more, and orphans in four. From Exodus to James, God returns to the same two groups of people again and again — and commands His people to look after them.
When God repeats Himself 148 times, we take it as a mandate. That is why this foundation exists — and why we begin with widows and orphans.
From reaching out to help delivered
Reach out
A neighbor, family member, or church partner tells us about a need using the form below — whether it's a repair, rent that's behind, or a child who could use the camp.
We visit and listen
A member of our team meets you, understands the situation, and reviews it against our published eligibility criteria. With dignity, always.
We scope and approve
For repairs, we get estimates from vetted contractors; for rent or essentials, we verify the need. Our board approves the help and the budget.
The help arrives
We pay the contractor, landlord, or vendor directly, see it through to completion, and follow up to make sure the family is cared for.
Churches know their neighbors. We bring the resources.
The people who most need help are often the last to ask for it. Pastors, deacons, and congregations see the need first — the widow whose roof leaks, the grandmother raising grandchildren in a house that's failing around them. We partner with Wilmington churches to find those neighbors and serve them together.
Refer a Neighbor
Church partners can refer members or neighbors in need directly to our team. We handle the application, assessment, and everything after.
Serve Together
Congregations that want hands-on involvement can join workdays and camp days — cleanup, painting, coaching, yard work — alongside our crews.
Stay Connected
We report back to referring churches (with the family's permission) so the congregation can keep walking with their neighbor.
